Library Response to COVID-19 [Fall 2021]

Library Policies

Library users are expected to follow all Campus-Wide COVID-19 Guidelines

We ask for your cooperation specifically in these areas:

Masks and social distancing

  • Masks or other face coverings are required regardless of your vaccination status.
  • Masks and face coverings must cover the wearer's nose and mouth. Cloth masks and face coverings should have two or more layers.
  • Maintain some distance between yourself and others. Group study is allowed, but everyone should be given elbow room.

Food and drinks

  • Beverages are permitted in the library, as long as they are in containers with lids.
  • Snacks are permitted in the library, but snacks must not be messy or smelly. If you need to eat it with one or more utensils, then don't eat it in the library. Some allowed snacks are pretzels, candy bars, and carrots. Pizzas, hoagies, and salads are examples of food that is not allowed.
  • A mask or face covering is required when you are not actively eating or drinking.

Before you leave, please:

  • Wipe down the desk or table you used. If you used one of the library computers, wipe down the keyboard and mouse. Wipes are available on every floor of the library; let us know if you can't find them.
  • Discard your trash.

Following these guidelines will make the library a safer and more comfortable space for all. Thank you for your cooperation!
