As we start the New Year we are proud and happy to announce the following improvements, upgrades, and changes in the library:
1. New and Improved Food Policy: It's official, library users are now free to eat snacks in the library. In the interest of preserving a pleasant work environment we ask that you do not eat full meals (food that is potentially messy and/or smelly) but feast away on granola bars, fruit, candy, salty snacks, nuts, etc.
2. Power to the People Thanks to generous giving on Giving Tuesday, additional outlets with USB ports have been installed on the third floor of the library. Students working in the study carrels along the sides and back of the third floor will now be able to plug in and stay powered up!
3. Check it Out In response to requests from our students, the library now has additional Apple phone chargers and 3 personal-sized whiteboards available for use in the library. We've also added a number of books to our collection that were requested by students. Many of these titles are housed in our Leisure Collection on the first floor. We LOVE book suggestions, let us know yours via our Suggestion Box or Ask a Librarian.
We want to thank SGA for their partnership in helping us identify and make these improvements and a BIG thank you to everyone who participated on Giving Tuesday. Stay tuned for more news coming soon on other ways we're putting Giving Tuesday funds to work.
