If you are still using plain old SciFinder (with no n or –n), it’s time to move up to SciFinder-n (aka CAS SciFinder-n)! The library’s links to SciFinder will disappear on March 31 and only SciFinder-n will be available after that. The SciFinder-n interface is very user-friendly and offers many advantages over SciFinder. You can search for references, substances, and reactions all in one search, or search for them individually. Searches are automatically saved and it’s easy to run them again later.
For more on SciFindern, visit the CAS SciFinder-n Training Page. The page has links to a variety of resources, including instructions for moving saved alerts or results from SciFinder to SciFindern.
If you have any questions please reach out to us via Ask a Librarian, we’ll be happy to help.
